The ad below was in this week’s paper and online. The paper version had a typo in #3 and yes, Maria Battista Ermie, you’re right. Even with many people reviewing this chart, #6 has the wrong number in it. 🤦‍♀️ Good catch. Hard to swallow since I tried really hard to make it all correct. So let me explain where that accurate (albeit misplaced number) came from according to the Cupp Report:
State average spending per pupil: $14,815.90
Similar district per pupil average: 13,181.44
Perrysburg average per pupil: 11,842.82
Therefore:
*Perrysburg spends $1,338.62 LESS per pupil than similar districts’ average
*Perrysburg spends $2,973.08 LESS per pupil than the State average. The State average number was meant to be used and not the similar district number. I do apologize for the confusion.
Bottom line — the District is doing a tremendous job with our financial management to produce the excellent results we do (and thank you parents because a lot of that comes from you, too!). At almost every Board meeting I mention how our Operations Dept saves us hundreds of thousands of dollars, for example.
Again, my sincerest apologies for this mixup. But the fact that we do more, so much more, while spending less, shows we are not financially irresponsible. On the contrary, we work very hard to make every penny count.
